Notes
Citation of multiple publications by the same author in the same year: after the year of publication add small letters with no interval (Peleva 1994a).
In case of three or more authors, it is permissible in the Bibliography list to describe the authorship in an abbreviated version using the abbreviation “et al.”:
Somerville, Purcell, Morrison 2011: Somerville, Ian, Andrew Purcell, Fred Morrison. Public relations education in a divided society: PR, terrorism and critical pedagogy in post-conflict Northern Ireland. – Public Relations Review, 37 (5), рр. 548–555.
Somerville et al. 2011: Somerville, Ian, et al. Public relations education in a divided society: PR, terrorism and critical pedagogy in post-conflict Northern Ireland. – Public Relations Review, 37 (5), рр. 548–555.
Such a source is indicated in the main text as (Somerville, Purcell, Morrison 2011) or as (Somerville et al. 2011) – depending on the citation in the Bibliography.
In case of missing information (place of publication, year), it is noted in square brackets: [n. p.; n.d.].
Archival sources are listed after Bibliography as follows:
Central Historical Archives (CHA), f. 177, Op. 2, a.e. 801, l. 204.
Archives du ministère des affaires étrangères (MAE), série Europe (1961–1965), sous-série 1.
General Requirements
Text formatting (no spacing, Numbering, Bullets, Underline, All caps, etc.). Do not use Tab unless absolutely necessary.
Distinguish between hyphen and dash (short and long dash). A hyphen (-) is used to join words or parts of words, incl. double names (Claude Levi-Strauss) without spacing. A dash (–) is used to mark a break in a sentence, or set off an explanatory note, or to show intervals of time and ranges of values (1944–2024); (рp. 78–80).
For a quote coming from a single page, use the abbreviation p. (p. 3), and for two or more pages use pp. (pp. 23–25).
Use round () and square [] brackets not slashes //.
The space is placed after the punctuation marks, not before them.
Use Roman numerals for centuries in Bulgarian (e.g. XVIII в.).
Authors are encouraged to use the pronoun “ѝ” in Bulgarian correctly.
Proofreading
Authors receive proofreading of their articles before printing, which they must return to the editorial office within five days. No substantial changes to the text are allowed at this stage.
Printing
Publication is announced to authors with an email containing a PDF file of the article. The copyright belongs to the Institute for Literature and the PDF file should not be distributed freely, including through academic and social networks for sharing research results (e.g. ResearchGate.net, Academia.edu).
The Editors reserves the right not to publish articles that do not meet the requirements accepted by the publication regarding content, style and technical layout.
